Steel stair grating step plates, also known as stair tread plates or steel ladder plates, are designed for use on platforms and stairways. Available in two primary installation types:
  • Welded fixation: Economical and durable, directly welded to the keel without side plates, but not easily removable
  • Bolted fixation: Features thickened side plates with drilled holes for bolt installation, allowing for easier disassembly

Surface Treatment Processes
Pickling
High-grade steel grating undergoes pickling after production to remove scale and welding discoloration that could cause corrosion. The process submerges the grating in a cleansing bath, leaving a metallically pure, corrosion-resistant surface.
Hot Dip Galvanizing
The steel grating is submerged in molten zinc, creating a metallurgical bond between zinc and steel. This galvanization process forms a durable, corrosion-resistant protective layer.
Powder Coating
A cost-effective, durable coloring method involving degreasing, pickling, zinc-phosphating, and electrostatic powder application followed by baking at 180°C. For enhanced protection, combines hot-dip galvanizing with powder coating. Available in all RAL colors with various gloss levels and textures.
