GNEE STEEL has completed a major export shipment of hot-dip galvanized steel grating for a high-profile oil & gas project in the Middle East, marking another milestone in the company’s growing influence in the region. This shipment included a complete set of platform gratings, trench covers, walkway panels, and customized serrated grating products designed specifically for high-temperature and high-corrosion environments.

The Middle East oil & gas industry requires materials that can withstand extreme climate conditions—intense heat, desert winds, saline air, and heavy industrial loads. This project required GNEE STEEL to supply grating materials with enhanced welding strength, increased zinc coating thickness, and precise dimensional tolerances. To meet these requirements, GNEE STEEL relied on its advanced production lines equipped with automated resistance welding machines, which ensure uniform weld penetration and excellent bonding between bearing bars and cross bars.

The company’s engineers worked closely with the project managers to finalize technical specifications such as bearing-bar size, spacing, load class, serration depth, and surface finish. Several prototypes were produced and tested before mass production began, guaranteeing that the final products would meet the facility’s strict safety and installation requirements.

Packaging and logistics were also key to the success of this delivery. Given the mix of coastal and desert transport routes, GNEE STEEL developed a comprehensive export package including moisture-proof wrapping, steel pallet bases, multi-direction reinforcement straps, and protective corner guards. These measures help prevent deformation and corrosion during long-distance sea and inland transportation.

Global demand for industrial steel grating continues to grow in the oil & gas sector, especially for offshore platforms, refinery walkways, and maintenance areas.
